What we do
We design and install energy systems at no upfront cost to you and sell you electricity at a significantly reduced price (through a Power Purchase Agreement, or PPA). The homeowner neither owns nor leases the system, it is owned by us so you don’t have to worry about paying for it, maintaining it or monitoring it. A PPA is a financial agreement where we arrange for the design, permitting, financing and installation of an energy system on your property at no upfront cost, then we sell you the electricity it produces. All at a significant discount to your current bill.
The process
1. Basic information gathering (eg. your roof type, your utility bills).
2. One of our friendly & professional Client-Partner Associates will meet you to discuss your project.
3. If the analysis of your energy consumption data shows that you will benefit from one of our systems, we will prepare a design, proposal and contract for you to review.
4. We install a Group IV Solar system using the highest quality materials & tradespersons at no upfront cost to you. You start saving the moment the system is commissioned.

“What’s a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)?”
A Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) is a long-term electricity supply agreement between Group IV Solar and you. Group IV Solar arranges for the design, permitting, financing and installation of an energy system on your property at no upfront cost. Group IV Solar then sells you the electricity produced by that system at a significant discount to the regular utility price.
“Will I own the energy system?”
The homeowner neither owns nor leases the energy system. It is owned and maintained by Group IV Solar so you don’t have to worry about paying for it, maintaining it or monitoring it.
“What if I sell my house?”
Most homeowners in California want to save money on their electricity bills and want to move into a house with a solar system. The most common option is to transfer the agreement to the new homeowner. After the transfer is complete, the new owner will pick up where you left off. “Can my HOA say no?”

We care about aesthetics just as much as you do. We design your system to maximize energy production but also want it to look its best. Did you know that solar modules don’t just come in blue with bright metal framing? There are blue and black solar cells, aluminium and black anodized frames, you can even get frameless panels with different colours showing through or clear glass depending on the application.
“What happens after my PPA contract expires?”
There are a few options. You can renew the contract, buy the system at fair market value or we can remove the system and restore your roof to its pre-solar condition.
“My electricity bill is less than $250 a month, can I really save money?”
If you end up saving even a $100 a month (which is on the low end), this means an extra $1,200 a year for your family.
